「選舉症候群」作崇 這位阿伯看病還向醫師拉票
每到選舉，「選舉症候群」病人就增多，一名60多歲男子與鄰居政治理念不合，鬧得不可開交，晚上氣到睡不著，就醫時仍克制不了政治狂熱，不停向醫護人員拉票！醫師提醒，民眾如發現家人觸及選舉話題情緒就失控，這些都是誘發精神疾病的危險因子，有必要勸服他們趕快就醫評估。
距投票日只剩38天，選情愈來愈白熱化，精神科醫師簡佳璋發現，最近門診每天幾乎都有幾位過度關心選情到無法入睡的個案報到，其中一名60幾歲男子，支持的對象與鄰居不同，經常爭吵，認為對方根本故意找碴，晚上氣得睡不著。
簡佳璋也舉自己為例，他自己無黨無派，保持中立，但老婆大人挺藍，幾乎天天對他耳提面命，一直遊說他投藍。
「每次大選，選舉症候群就上演」簡佳璋說，選前多數選民都處於激情亢奮狀態，認為自己支持的政黨會贏，綠的認為必勝，藍的也認為大有可為，有些人狂熱到不只影響睡眠，甚至自律神經失調，胸悶、頭暈、噁心、嘔吐、肩膀酸、脾氣暴躁，門診這類個案約增加1成。
簡佳璋表示，目前資訊發達，加上媒體推波助瀾，熱中政治的選民被激化到選邊站，像陷入賭局當中，隨時關心要選藍，還是選綠，情緒每天「上沖、下洗」。投票結果出爐後，少數人又會因為支持的對象落選而陷入憂鬱。
「要保持理智，穩定情緒」簡佳璋說，為了選舉每天「氣噴噴」（台語），其實會誘發一些潛在的精神疾病，奉勸大家盡量少接觸選舉資訊，倘若因為關心選戰影響到作息或情緒起伏過大，家人最好勸他趕快就醫。
